This area will serve as a repository for noteworthy items regarding the Louisville Niseido® Ju Jitsu club, as well as news from around the Federation.

Michael Berger receives his Gokyu Yellow Belt

We are proud to announce that Michael Berger passed his Yellow Belt exam with a true warrior's spirit.

The test took place on May 8, 2009, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and was presided over by Professor Tom Holste (6th Dan), Sensei Rich Azadian (4th Dan), from the Hombu Dojo; and Sensei Lane Wommack (2nd Dan) from Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

None of these gentlemen took it easy on this 16-year-old young man.  The exam was grueling, but tests in Niseido® Ju Jitsu are never easy. Michael dug deep, however, and met the challenge headon.

Michael now holds a Gokyu Yellow Belt in Nisiedo® Ju Jitsu to go along with his Ikyu Brown Belt in Chito Ryu Karate, his role as an Eagle Scout, and his many school and civic obligations.

Michael, you represented our dojo with honor and you made your instructor and fellow students proud with your performance.

You can rest now, but only for a short while, because green belt will be here before you know it.

Once again, congratulations.


Congratulations to our newest Professor

The Louisville Niseido® Ju Jitsu Club would like to publically congratulate Tom Holste on his recent promotion to the rank and title of 6th Dan Professor.

Professor Holste, you lead by example and we are proud to be your devoted students and friends. We wish you many years of fortune and promise to try our collective best to live up to the example you set for everyone in Niseido® Ju Jitsu. You exemplify everything a Niseido® practitioner should be.

Michael Berger scheduled to test

We are excited about the upcoming Yellow Belt exam of Michael Berger, scheduled for May 8, in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Michael has been a diligent student of the Lousville Dojo for approximately one year, balancing out his ju jitsu training with his busy school work, karate and other extra curricular obligations.

GO GET 'EM MICHAEL !!!!
